1st day of School!!!

Interesting start to the school year.  Madison's first day of kindergarten happened to be in the enrichment program the entire school day.  On her school bag was her tag that stated she had morning kindergarten with Mrs. Shur and afternoon ECE (Early Childhood Enrichment).  Livia had asked the before care teachers if she could walk her sister down to her classroom and they told her no.  Instead, they lined Madison up with the morning ECE students.  So she spent the morning AND afternoon in ECE. I received a call around 11:30 am from the director of ECE if Madison was in school today.  I stated that she still in the kindergarten class and that she would be leaving soon to go to ECE.  After hanging up the phone, something didn't feel right about the conversation.  I had to explain to them that she had morning kindergarten and afternoon ECE. Be mindful that all the students are required to be masked.  I received another call at 1pm from the SAME director apologizing for Madison never attending kindergarten and being in ECE the entire day.  I had so many questions.  How did I receive a phone call from ECE asking if Madison was absent if THEY had her. Nonetheless, after having this heated discussion with the director and finishing school, I headed right down to Mill Lake to have a conversation with the principal.  Madsion was not in the kindergarten class and I never received any notification whatsoever. Fastforward two months, the director of ECE in Monroe was fired.

Hence the reason Madison has TWO first day of Kindergarten pictures.
